Tickhill Ukulele Group

Tickhill mao showing the Parish Rooms

Tickhill Ukulele Group meets on Monday evenings from 7pm to 8pm at the Parish Rooms, Tickhill, Doncaster, DN11 9HZ. The group has grown rapidly since we started in November 2014 and we now have up to 30 people attending.

It's open to all ages and abilities, including complete beginners. The aim is to get everyone playing and singing a wide variety of songs. I'll provide the tabs and words for you to take away and practice and all the resources we use are available to download. There's always a pot of tea too....

Don't worry if you don't have your own ukulele. You can borrow one of ours to start with. I'm very happy to give advice on buying your own instrument as well as tuning and maintaining it.

The cost of each session is £3 for adults and £2 for children. (Children must be accompanied by an adult.)

Recently we've been learning Mr Sandman, It's All About You (McFly), You Belong To Me (Brian Adams) and a number of others. If there are songs you'd particularly like to learn, I'm always open to suggestions. We have performed at a number of events in Tickhill, most recently at the Tour de Yorkshire and will be performing at the 2016 Tickhill Gala.

Visit the Tickhill Ukulele Group Facebook Page.

PLEASE NOTE: The group starts again after the summer break on Monday 12th September 2016.

Here are some of our recent performances.
